To Reserve a Date:

To guarantee your date — We require a non-refundable retainer to reserve your date.  This amount will be deducted from your final invoice.  $150 for standard delivery/drop off, $500 for events with staffing, or $750 for wedding receptions. Larger events may incur a greater retainer.

Dates are reserved on a first come, first served basis – at the discretion of the caterer. Please contact us as soon as possible to make sure we are available.

If the event is subsequently cancelled by the client for any reason, the retainer is forfeited.


Menu Selection & Pricing:

Menu items from different packages may be mixed and customized.  Other “off-menu”  items may be available at the discretion of our chef.  The package price includes all of the services listed with that package.  Served event pricing assumes that the event will be held in a standard equipped banquet hall within our geographic market.  Certain venues have a special dedicated menu and pricing. Note: We have special menu packages for wedding receptions. Pricing may not be applicable to all venues; additional fee may apply. Pricing for  outdoor events, distant locations or customized services will be provided upon request.  Our pricing is based on a number of factors including location, menu items selected, length of service provided and the number of guests attending your affair.

  • Final menu selections are generally due 30 days before the event.

Wedding Receptions:

We offer a FREE taste testing and consultation for most prospective couples and parents.  These are by appointment only at our kitchen located in Brackenridge. Here you will get a chance to evaluate our food and professionalism, discuss all aspects of your reception and receive an estimated quote.  We suggest that you arrange this as soon as possible so we can accommodate your schedule.  Smaller weddings may incur a nominal charge for the tasting.

Pricing.  All prices are subject to a 20% service fee and PA sales tax.  Package pricing assumes a standard equipped indoor banquet hall within our geographic market.  Services may be restricted at some locations.  Pricing for outdoor events, distant locations or unfamiliar venues will be provided upon request.
NOTE:  Certain venues have a dedicated menu and pricing – please contact us for details.

Payments and Policies:
We require a $750 non-refundable retainer to guarantee your date.  50% of the total cost must be paid 90 days before your event.  Final balance must be paid 7 days in advance of your wedding.  Cash and checks are preferred  (3% charge for credit cards).  Please make checks payable to: Chef & I Catering, 902 Brackenridge Ave, Brackenridge, PA 15014.

A preliminary guest count is due 30 days before your wedding.  A final “guaranteed” guest count is due 11 days ahead (on Tuesday).  Guest count cannot be reduced after this point.   Children under 10 and non-seated vendors are billed at a discounted rate.

You will be provided with a detailed proposal/confirmation for your event.  This will list all menu items, services, pricing, key times and all other important details of the reception.  A “final review” will be conducted by phone approximately 30 days ahead of your date and all details and revisions will be addressed.


Delivery Only Events:

A quote will be provided when you select your menu.  Once the event has been accepted and retainer received, a written confirmation document will be provided. Client is responsible for verifying that the confirmation details are correct.  A final guest count is required at least 11 days in advance of your event. Guest count cannot be reduced within 7 days of the event.  Payment is due 7 days in advance of the event unless other arrangements are made.

Cash or check is preferred (3% charge for credit cards).  Make payable to:  The Chef and I Catering, 902 Brackenridge Ave, Brackenridge, PA 15014.  Please memo your check with the event date.
