Pricing. All prices in this guide are applicable to 2022 events and are subject to PA sales tax. Due to current market conditions prices change regularly and are subject to change without notice. Please inquire with our sales team for the most current up-to-date pricing.

Service and Delivery Option

The service style you choose will be influenced by your menu and the type of event you are hosting. Our sales staff will be happy to work through the options with you to ensure a perfect fit for your special event. The fees for the services listed below are in addition to the food menu prices.

Pickup Service

There is no additional charge for pickup service. Our catering team will prepare your order in disposable aluminum pans available for pickup in Brackenridge at our kitchen. Please specify if you would like your order hot or cold. Please note: Pickup service does not include disposables or warming equipment. These items may be purchased at an additional charge. Equipment must be returned to the kitchen.

Delivery and Setup

Our catering team will deliver your order and setup the buffet line that includes disposable dinnerware, plasticware, disposable serving utensils, disposable buffet covering and paper napkins. This service also includes disposable wire chaffing racks and fuel to keep your food hot up to 6 hours. Hot Boxes if needed. Please note: our drivers may need assistance unloading heavy items. Complex deliveries (such as steps or far distances to the buffet area) may require an additional staff to assist. Please discuss and request a quote.

Standard Service with Attendant

Our catering team will deliver the order, setup, and maintain/refill the buffet for the duration of the contracted time. Stainless Steel chafers fuel and serving ware are included in addition to disposable dinnerware, plasticware, disposable serving utensils, disposable buffet covering and paper napkins. Salt and Pepper Shakers at the buffet. The attendant(s) will complete light cleanup of the guest tables when possible. Leftover food items may be packaged. Cake cutting service if needed – must notify prior to event.

Delivery and Setup Fee (within 15-mile radius): 15% Fee under 99 Guests; 10% Fee over 100 guests.

Delivery Fees Outside 20-mile radius
For deliveries outside out normal local area, we charge a mileage fee of $0.75 per mile in both directions.

Minimum orders.  Pricing assumes a minimum of 35 guests.  Smaller orders are subject to a $30.00 admin/prep fee.  We cannot accept catering orders for less than 20 guests.  Saturday events during wedding season have a $500 minimum order – but exceptions can be made for certain dates or situations.

Payments and Policies.  We require a non-refundable retainer to reserve your date.  This amount will be deducted from your final invoice.  $100 for standard delivery/drop off, $300 for events with staffing, or $500 for events over 100 guests with staffing.

  • Final menu selections are generally due 30 days before the event.
  • Final guest count is due at least 11 days in advance (on Tuesday Morning).  This number cannot be reduced once submitted.
  • Final balance is payable 5 days in advance unless otherwise discussed with management.
  • Checks or Cash is preferred (3% charge for credit cards).  Make payable to:  The Chef and I Catering, 902 Brackenridge Ave, Brackenridge, PA 15014.  Please memo your check with the event date and invoice number.
  • Documentation:  You will be provided with a detailed event confirmation. This will list your menu selections, services, pricing, key times and other important details of the event. We’ll respond to all your inquiries in a timely manner and any changes will be recorded.
