Menu Selections. You may mix and match items from different packages within this guide. A formal quote will be prepared based on your selections and service requirements.  If there’s something you want that isn’t listed, our chef will be happy to prepare it. Note: We have special menu packages for wedding receptions. Pricing may not be applicable to all venues; additional fee may apply. Please inquire.

Standard delivery service.  Your meal will be delivered ready to serve in disposable containers.  We provide disposable plates, bowls, flatware, napkins and serving utensils.  We recommend delivery approximately one half hour before you plan to eat.  We can also provide buffet & warming equipment for a nominal charge (see below).   Our driver will setup the buffet and show someone how to replenish the items.  Equipment will need to be returned to our kitchen. For larger groups, service attendants are available at an additional charge (see below).

Pricing and Services:

All prices in this guide are applicable to 2022 events and are subject to PA sales tax.

Guest pricing includes heavy duty disposable dinnerware, plastic flatware and paper napkins. No discounts are offered for providing your own disposables.  Equipment such as chafing racks, fuel, warming boxes and serving utensils can be quoted.  Staffing is available for $25 per hour – minimum 5 hours.

A $30.00 delivery fee applies to all orders. Locations with a driving time over 30 minutes from Brackenridge are assessed a higher fee.

Minimum orders.  Pricing assumes a minimum of 35 guests.  Smaller orders are subject to a $30.00 admin/prep fee.  We cannot accept catering orders for less than 20 guests.  Saturday events during wedding season have a $500 minimum order – but exceptions can be made for certain dates or situations.

Guest price represents one standard adult portion of each item on the buffet.  We recommend that you adjust your guest count for children under 10 years of age (i.e. 5 kids = 3 adult portions). Please advise us of the total number attending so we can provide sufficient dinnerware.

Payments and Policies.  We require a non-refundable retainer to reserve your date.  This amount will be deducted from your final invoice.  $100 for standard delivery/drop off, $300 for events with staffing, or $500 for events over 100 guests with staffing.

  • Final menu selections are generally due 30 days before the event (flexible).
  • Final guest count is due at least 10 days in advance (on Tuesday).  This number cannot be reduced.
  • Final balance is payable 5 days in advance unless otherwise discussed with management.
  • Checks or Cash is preferred (3% charge for credit cards).  Make payable to:  The Chef and I Catering, 902 Brackenridge Ave, Brackenridge, PA 15014.  Please memo your check with the event date.
  • Documentation:  You will be provided with a detailed event confirmation. This will list your menu selections, services, pricing, key times and other important details of the event. We’ll respond to all your inquiries in a timely manner and any changes will be recorded.

Note:  We provide full portioning on every item.  Graduation parties are hard to judge and our experience is that there is often too much food.  We will be happy to advise the client on ordering techniques to avoid excess leftovers.

Service Attendant $25.00 per hour (minimum 5 hours including travel).  Includes delivery and buffet equipment.  Attendant will setup & maintain the buffet, perform light clean up duties, pack up leftovers and tear down.  Start and finish times must be arranged in advance.

Distant Travel Charge (Request Quote).  May apply if your location is more than 20 miles or 30 minutes from our Brackenridge location.
